In 1988 a back injury (herniated disk) forced him to reduce my professional tennis activities. In 1989 I continued to suffer from back problems. In 1990, after reaching the semi-final of the Mondadori 50.000$ tournament in Verona and the quarterfinals of the Venice 50.000$ tournament, I retired from international tennis.

During my career I defeated: Anders Gomez, Boris Becker, Andrei Dirzu, Bruce Derlin, Paolo Canè, Francesco Cancellotti, Claudio Panatta, Massimo Cierro, Alessandro De Minicis, Simone Colombo, Brad Drewett, Florian Segarceanu, Darren Cahill, Diego Nargiso, Cristiano Caratti, Mordegan Federico, Thierry Guardiola, Francisco Roig, Ricky Leach, Henrick Sundstrom, and Matuszewsky.

 

 

 

- Currently running a tennis school with 130 junior players, Bussolengo, Verona, Italy 

- Collaborated for two years with Riccardo Piatti and Danilo Pizzorno

- For the past 7 years he has trained Giulia Bruschi (currently WTA#1167)
