Lamarche Appointed National President for Canada

27 December 2024

The Global Professional Tennis Coach Association (GPTCA) is thrilled to announce the appointment of Pierre Lamarche as the National President for Canada. Pierre will spearhead ATP-certified coaching courses in the country and lead efforts to grow and strengthen the GPTCA community across Canada.

"We are excited to collaborate with Pierre, who, apart from being a great tennis coach, is also an expert in organizing and managing events. This is exactly what we are looking for in our National Presidents," said Alberto Castellani, GPTCA President.

Pierre Lamarche brings a wealth of experience to the role. A former Canada Davis Cup Captain, Billie Jean King Cup Captain, and Tennis Canada Hall of Fame inductee, Pierre’s tennis career spans decades. He is a former ATP player and competed at the collegiate level for Mississippi University. His contributions to Tennis Canada, including years of service and a stint as Technical Director in Tunisia, demonstrate his deep commitment to the sport.

As the owner of ACES Tennis Academies, with multiple facilities across Canada, Pierre has been instrumental in shaping the next generation of tennis players. His leadership, expertise, and passion for tennis make him the ideal candidate to represent the GPTCA in Canada.

We warmly welcome Pierre Lamarche to his new role and look forward to the exciting initiatives he will bring to Canadian tennis.
